Students compete against other students in the same grade, and winner of each grade compete for the overall championship. Judging will be based on: 50% conservation message (how well the message relates to the theme (Celebrate Conservation), 30% visual effectiveness, 10% originality, and 10% universal appeal. All entries receive a certificate of participation. First place, second and third place winners in all classes participating will receive a ribbon and grade winners also receive a trophy. The overall winner’s poster will be placed in statewide competition. Poster size must be between 8.5” x 11” and 22” x 28”. Any medium may be used to create a flat or two-dimensional effect (paint, crayon, colored pencil, charcoal, paper or other materials). The enclosed entry form must be completed and attached to the back of all posters (photocopy as needed). Also, a type written list of all participants, including their grade level and teacher’s name should accompany the posters. If the District can be of any help or answer any questions, please
